New year, New plans?

As salespeople, we are constantly looking to improve, even if that means a complete and utter overhaul in your sales process or reflecting on our practices to make small changes. As we are approaching the end of the first month of 2023, let’s reflect on how our 2023 goals are being achieved. Here are some of our practices/ ideas to help your sales team:

Improving Time management:

Working in sales can become overwhelming with hundreds of thoughts a day of “I need to do this.” Proper time management techniques can help smooth out these thought processes allowing you to create a healthy structure to manage your workflow amongst the chaos!

Here are our time-saving sales tactics you can start using right now to smash your 2023 goals!

  1. Limit checking your emails to 2-3 times per day (constantly checking and refreshing isn’t going to get those deals done any quicker!)
  2. Complete one task at a time.
  3. Schedule your day, prioritizing your tasks on your to-do list.
  4. Log your habits & plan around them.

Understand your WHY?

If you are looking to increase your productivity, it is crucial to adopt a mindset of thinking back to your WHY. The more you understand “WHY” the easier it is to analyze the common trends appearing in your wins but more importantly your losses. Understanding your WHY will become a process that allows you to look at your metrics, listen to your calls, and may ask for guidance.

Many personal New Year’s resolutions involve relationships. Spend more time with your kids. Learn more about your grandparents. Get to know your neighbors.

Get to know your market/customers better.

As salespeople we thrive on relationships, as businesses, we rely on our ability to be able to provide what our target consumer wants. Without a clear picture of how your product/ service adds value to its consumers, it becomes difficult for you to create customer loyalty and build on your sales. The process of building those relationships through consultative selling needs to happen. Is imperative that you get to know your customer’s motivations, reservations, and desires, in order to develop those relationships, and sometimes this can take time.

January is the month to reflect and prepare for what lies ahead. New year resolutions may be hard to stick to, but core concepts of goal setting are paramount to your success. We at Transaction Focus, actively encourage salespeople to take time to reflect and create measurable goals in order to grow their business in a sustainable way. If you need help with accessing your 2023 goals book a consultation call now to find out how you could be growing within 2023!
